SLAM CS provided owner’s representative services for the Narragansett Indian Tribe’s new 18,000 SF health center building. The Narragansett Indian Tribal Health Center designed by the S/L/A/M Collaborative included a program to house social service, administrative, clinical and nursing spaces with the goal of creating a soothing, familiar, and culturally sensitive environment to support tribal life. SLAM CS was hired for the pre-construction and construction phases of the project. Pre-Construction services included funding approvals from several regulatory agencies, estimating, scheduling, reporting, general contractor qualifications, bid package and scope development. Construction phase services facilitated project oversight, budget and schedule reviews, coordination of contractor & trades, review of change orders and final punch-list, inspections, and close-out.
The SLAM CS team worked collaboratively with the owner and design team to develop solutions, overcoming many project challenges.
