BOSTON, September 13, 2023—Three designers from The S/L/A/M Collaborative were inducted into the Boston class of the Interior Design 30 Under 30 which celebrates young professionals in the design industry with learning opportunities to help advance their careers, gain new professional knowledge, and inspire new ideas. Boston is one of 11 key US markets for the awards program this year.

“We’re excited to join the Interior Design 30 Under 30 Class in Boston,” says SLAM’s Managing Principal for Design Rick Herzer, AIA, LEED AP. “It’s gratifying to see our emerging talent recognized by the industry; we can’t wait to see their supercharged contributions to our clients, communities, and the field of design in the era of a sustainable world.”

SLAM Designer Brittany D'Oddio

Brittany Doddio

Brittany has been working on higher education and public education projects where she contributes to a shared firm passion to help both students and faculty function and learn better in creative, timelessly designed spaces.  She is a valued team member, sought after by our studios and markets across the country for her ability to work with teams effectively and produce the best outcomes for our clients.

SLAM Designer Victoria Fagan

Victoria Fagan

Victoria was the first employee hired in SLAM’s newly opened Providence office. Since then, she has become involved with SLAM’s DEI employee resource group as the Providence Ambassador, and this year successfully led the annual “Proud to be SLAM” design competition which raises funds each PRIDE month for the Trevor Project. She obtained her LEED AP and Fitwel ambassador certifications in 2021, and became a WELL accredited professional in 2022. Victoria was also a recipient of the New England Real Estate Journal’s 2022 Women in Construction and was inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who.

SLAM Designer Ellie Hart

Ellie Hart

Following a successful internship, Ellie joined SLAM after graduating from Roger Williams University. She works closely with Tom Lam in Boston growing a community healthcare practice that brings the firm’s extensive expertise to underserved regions and populations. One particularly impactful project she’s working on is Shattuck Hospital in downtown Boston, a state-run facility that she first helped convert as a COVID treatment facility for the unhoused early in the pandemic. This next phase of renovation will transform the brutalist building for behavioral health treatment for those receiving health services from the state of Massachusetts.
